Morning Links…

A quick daily look at what’s happening around Steelers Nation…

– Jeff Pearlman doesn’t like that Steeler fans are going to be cheering for Ben Roethlisberger and condemns all of society for being a bunch of enabling sheep. Baah. [Sports Illustrated]

– The Bengals signed Terrell Owens earlier this week — of course they did — and in case you’re wondering how he and Chad Javon Ocho Cinco have performed against the Steelers over the years, Steelers Depot has you covered. I’ll just point out the last time two times Owens played in Pittsburgh it marked the beginning of the end for his stops in Philadelphia and Dallas.  [Steelers Depot]

– Second-round pick Jason Worilds appears set to sign before Friday. [Post-Gazette]

– And for your random YouTube of the day: the last game of Terry Bradshaw’s career. Also pictured: NFL football at Shea Stadium.

Please God let's not re-hash this again (Ben off-field) but Michael Vick served prison time – Ben partied like a frat boy – hmmmm…..doesn't seem the same to me…..oh and where was mention of Ray Lewis in all this? I realize the article and the site was specific to sports – but look further than Hollywood….where 'anything goes' is cool and we'll still pay for your movies, merchandise etc…..

Just another writer looking to capitalize on the Ben situation – perhaps he should look in the mirror…..(Not SteelersLounge of course)

What does Pearlman want? That when Ben completes a pass the fans announce that they are cheering only for Mike Wallace. Maybe the Steelers' opponents should get a couple of free roughing the passer calls each game? Will Pearlman criticize people who put Ben on their fantasy teams?

Fact is, people will likely buy – and wear – his jersey less often. That's about all you can do.

(And why doesn't wordpress know who I am yet?)
