A quick daily look at what’s happening around Steelers Nation…
– No links on Sunday because I was taking the day off from all forms of writing. I apologize if that ruined your day.
– More on this later today, but Deshea Townsend signed with the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. Very good player that was a big part of two Super Bowl winning teams here in Pittsburgh. [Adam Schefter on Twitter]

– Remember when the Steelers practiced in Rhode Island that one time? No? You’re probably not alone. [Providence Journal]
– Fourth-round pick Thaddeus Gibson was apparently a monster during the backs-on-backers drill on Sunday, posting a 6-1 record against Rashard Mendenhall, Mewelde Moore, David Johnson, Frank Summers, Sean McHugh and Isaac Redman. Said Mike Tomlin: “If you’re a linebacker and you’re shy you usually have a problem. I don’t think (Gibson) has that problem.” [Steelers.com]
– And for your random YouTube of the day: Deshea Townsend’s pick-six against Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys during the 2008 season. Good times.
