Morning Links (and Daily Thread)…

A quick daily look at what’s happening around Steelers Nation. And consider this your open thread for discussing the days events and, well, anything else that comes to mind about the Black and Gold.

– Bizarre story from Saturday’s game as Dan Rooney made the trip from Ireland to see the game, and was then escorted out of the press box because he didn’t have the proper credential. The person that asked him to leave had no idea who he was. [Post-Gazette]

– Hey, Mike Tomczak has a new job. He’ll be the quarterbacks coach at Ohio Dominican University. Never heard of it. [Mondesi's House]

– If you’re interested in the special teams battle — and after last season, you better be — Post Game Heroes has a look at the special teams tackles through the first two preseason games. Daniel Sepulveda makes the list! In all honesty, that was an impressive tackle on Saturday, not only to make the tackle, but to fight off a block for about 10 yards. [Post Game Heroes]

– And for your random YouTube of the day: 1995 AFC Championship game, Steelers vs. Colts. Ah, what a game. Check out the celebration by Fred McAfee after the tackle on the kickoff. That would be about 30 yards in penalties today. And Aaron Bailey … ah, yes … Aaron Bailey.
