Steelers vs. Buccaneers: Game Thread

Max Starks and Casey Hampton are back, but the Steelers will be without their second- and third-string quarterback. That’s right, it’s Charlie Batch’s first start since 2007.  On the upside, he’d be the first backup on most other teams.

To channel Gretz: This is your game thread. Enjoy it. Embrace it. Go crazy. Because it’s game day.

@ IsraelIP – try – you can usually find a stream there.
Or maybe it blocks IPs out of the US?

      Let’s go Chuck Batch!

  • Gretz

Ha! I forgot to do this before I went to bed. Wilson steps up, takes charge, and gets the job done. Teamwork.

/High-five’s GretzAlso, this via Dale Lolley: “Early word has it that both Emmanuel Sanders and Antonio Brown will be active. But that could change between now and game time, specifically because of the heat index, which will be in the 90s.”

    • FW

      Dale’s half right.

Inactives: QB Dixon, CB Lewis, RB Dwyer, CB Butler, T Hills, G Essex, WR Sanders, OLB Gibson.

Good morning and Happy Game Day…..50 degrees in Chicago – 86 in Tampa at game time…..

  • EasyLikeSundayMorning

Seems like Hills should be activated. Can’t have too many fat guys in the rotation if it is in the 90s.

Somebody pointed out (maybe on Twitter, can’t remember) that Ramon Foster is active, which makes sense now that Max is back and Trai is out.

To think that Charlie Batch was within a hairbreath of being thrown on the trash heap.
Amazing poise in the pocket. Amazing reads. Amazing accuracy.
