This was definitely a team loss plenty of mistakes to go around in all areas. I hate to say it but the Ravens did a good job keeping pressure off Flacco, their defense played a good scheme on the Steelers Offense. Basically the Steelers were out coached in the second half.
I really hated the Steelers offensive play calling after both turn overs in the 3d quarter. They should have at least tried to get into better field goal range before trying the make or break big plays. Of course if Wallace had caught that ball in the end zone with his hands, I wouldn’t be thinking taht.

yeah I thought the key was protection. Flacco had time to throw, and to his credit when the pocket started to collapse he stood strong in the pocket and delivered some excellent downfield passes.

Yeah, that video will cheer any steeler fan up after any steeler loss for years to come.

Interestingly enough, and don’t get me wrong, the Ravens deserve a ton of credit, but PK this morning in his column gives a lot of credit to the Ravens secondary……. Now keep in mind the Ravens, in their 4 games, have faced two back ups in Charlie and Seneca Wallace……food for thought…..

    • DC in ATL

The two starters they’ve faced were Mark Sanchez and Carson Palmer….not exactly Montana/Marino either.

Ravens will lose in two weeks at New England who will be coming off a bye. Brady (hate him), Moss (ditto) and Welker (him too) will have fun with the Baltimore secondary.

DC, we’ll see about that, but my mind’s eye currently envisions the Ravens shredding the Patriots’ gawd-awful secondary just as every other NE opponent has done this season, with the Ravens able to play the Pats’ offense much tougher on the other side. Remember what happened in last year’s BAL-NE playoff game in Foxboro? Until I see some significant improvement from the Patriots, I don’t think they’re in the Ravens’ class. Maybe tonight’s Pats-Dolphins game will demonstrate something different, but then again the Dolphins aren’t at the class of the Ravens/Steelers/Jets either, imo.

    Great great random video.

And of course plenty of people are once again blaming Bruce Arians for not magically producing a 1st down at the end of the game.

    • John S.

I sat with a Steelers fan who spent the entire game complaining about Arians and Farrior. It gets a wee bit old.

      • Cols714

Plus Farrior is still pretty good. The problem is that all of the other LBs around him are so good that he looks a little bit worse than he really is.

Well, I don’t like BA, but that drive was clearly on the players. 2 False starts and a holding penalty? Puh. Lease.
