Steelers Lounge Podcast #10: Steelers-Dolphins Preview — James Harrison Didn’t Retire

A lot going on this week and very little of it had to do with the Dolphins. We talk about illegal hits, the shocking news that Deebo did not, in fact, retire, and what this means going forward.  We even take a reader question and find time to discuss, you know, this Sunday’s game.

Middle East TV on satellite from Cyprus has Steelers-Dolphins on live Sunday, followed by Patriots-Chargers. Our satellite Fox station is showing Eagles-Titans.

I’ll have to see what I can negotiate with the Mrs. re the TV.

Maybe receivers should be able to fair catch passes.

“How many sacks does Big Ben cost/save the Steelers? We’ll be keeping track all year. After his first game, he’s saved two…. ”

When you do this accounting, make sure you report whether the ones he saved ended up as completions or incompletions – ie was it just a save or did he turn it into a win.

How do you know Mike Wallace is not shifty? By and large his long catches put him in a place where he has nowhere to be shifty to. And the fifty-yard catch last week he went down making the catch.

His catch at the end of the Packers game was certainly not a speed catch.

      Israel,

Fair enough on Wallace’s shiftiness. In comparison to Holmes, Wallace is less shifty, and I’m reminded of this, as JJ points out, on those mind-numbing end-arounds.

Also: I love that you’re doing play-by-play as you listen live. That, folks, is commitment!
