Morning Links (and Daily Thread)…

A quick daily look at what’s happening around Steelers Nation. And consider this your open thread for discussing the days events and, well, anything else that comes to mind about the Black and Gold.

– It’s Friday, so let’s hear your predictions for Sunday’s game against Oakland.

– If you haven’t done so yet, be sure to listen to Steelers Lounge Podcast #18. [Us]

– Apparently, Jeff Pearlman named Limas Sweed the 20th worst player in NFL history. Mondesi’s House asks a good question: Huey Richardson wasn’t bad enough to make the list? [Mondesi's House]

– Think Jeff Reed was a scapegoat? Dale Lolley thinks you’re wrong. [NFL From The Sidelines]

– And for your random YouTube of the day: LaMarr Woodley doesn’t get to intercept many passes, so here’s another look at his pick against Vince Young earlier this season.

I was a teenager when Dick Leftridge (#22 on Perlman’s list) was drafted. My father used to say that in college he never gained less than five yards a carry but for the Steelers he never gained that even once.

Only thing that got my father madder was Buddy Dial for nobody.

I don’t Sweed was that bad. He catches two balls, the Baltimore one and the Cincy one and we think of him a lot differently.

    Pittsburgh wins this one, 21-13

I’m going to be in Pittsburgh for the game, any recomendations on good but not overly crowded bars to watch the game?

I was at a sharp edge at a different location one time and my wife accidentally ordered what turned out to be meat flavored beer. I kid you not. Most vile thing I ever drank.

Cols, you can also do Ticket Exchange or scalp. I did the latter once and it wasn’t too expensive.

    • Cols714

I don’t know how to scalp. Is it even legal??

Steelers 13-Raiders 7. As the clock ticks down, the ball is intended for Frenchy and gets deflected to Franco…

Cols, the Ticket Exchange is legal: http://www.ticketexchangebyticketmaster.com/NFL/InventoryBrowse/Oakland-Raiders-at-Pittsburgh-Steelers-Tickets-at-Heinz-Field-in-Pittsburgh?PID=973439

Scalping is probably not technically legal in PA (laws vary and I don’t know the current one). But it seems hard to see who it really hurts. Prices for tickets are probably less near the stadium than online.

Sorry if I wasn’t clear. PA passed a law permitting online resale.
