Morning Links (and Daily Thread)…

A quick daily look at what’s happening around Steelers Nation. And consider this your open thread for discussing the days events and, well, anything else that comes to mind about the Black and Gold.

– In a shocking development, the NFL upheld $95,000 of fines against James Harrison. In related news, the NFL is an embarrassment. [Tribune-Review]

– Five Steelers who made a quiet impression against the Bills (couldn’t agree more with the MeMo love, by the way). [Behind the Steel Curtain]

– Headline from the Baltimore Sun: “Ravens offensive line facing injuries with Steelers coming to town.” You have no idea, Baltimore. Quit your whinging. [Baltimore Sun]

– Random YouTubage: 2008 AFC Championship Game highlights. (Waits patiently for the “WHY DID WE TRADE SANTONIO!?!” unhinged rant.)

In retrospect, we should have foreseen MeMo having a good game. His running has been poor, but situational blocking and short pass receiving have been decent. Sounds kind of like a tight end, huh?

The Baltimore Sun article headline calls Pittsburgh “blitz-happy.” Really? Is that accurate? My impression has been that the Steelers blitz infrequently.
