Bengals vs. Steelers: Game Thread

Like just about every other place north of the Mason-Dixon, the weather will be an issue in Pittsburgh. Rain or snow: 80 percent. Hopefully, the chance that the Bengals play like the Bengals is much, much higher than that.

    Can’t wait to see what the turf will look like after this game. And so begins the annual bad turf games, not that the Raiders game had good field conditions. But with 3 in a row, I sense a lot of sand…

      I thought I read that the field was re-sodded two weeks ago after the WPIAL championship games?

      Doesn’t mean the field will be great with the expected lousy weather today, but should be better than the Raider game.

    Roy Williams took two steps after the pass before hitting Ben right before the half. I haven’t been buying the conspiracy theories, but that play is called a late hit 99% of the time.

    I am not usually for “stand and and yell” type reactions from the Steelers FO..but they need to get on a stepladder and blast away a bit at the league. Ben is getting pummeled and nothing is called. He’s on the ground..and gets kneed in the head. He’s in the pocket..and gets smashed in the side of his noggin. The ball is gone..two beats..and two steps….and the defender hits him late in the ribs.

    I know our Oline sucks but we need those calls ..and we’ll need them even more in the playoffs. Time for a bit of lobbying from the Rooneys.
