Jets vs. Steelers: Game Thread

Dear Ryan Mundy, I don’t have much but I can promise you this: a HUGE day against the Jets (and a Steelers victory, obviously) guarantees you will be the guest of honor for Steelers Lounge No. 29!*

In related news: let’s go Saints, Jags and Rams.

Whatever, this is your game thread, peeps.

* pending approval of JJ and Gretz

Waiting with bated breath for Podcast #26. Deshea? Rod Woodson? Not Will Allen, I’d think.

A little perspective on our OL injuries: today is the first game since the end of 2007 that the Jets will be without an OL starter.  We’ll have over 30 missed starts from an OL this year alone.

    …..don’t forget ‘go packers!’

      WIN WITH FLYNN!!

The defensive front 7 need to rule the day and scare Sanchez into submission. Also Steelers need to implement more “no huddle” and spread out the Jets defense.

Why are we rooting for Jacksonville? If they lose they no longer threated to take the first round bye.

04 they drafter big ben, 05 miller, 06 timmons, 07 holmes, 08 mendenhall, 09 ziggy, this year pouncey

it went offense, offense, defense, offense, offense, defense, offense.

there is a pattern here. im saying next year they will draft cam jordan from cal.

These personal foul calls on the Steelers are getting a little ridiculous. Flozell flagged for the standard push-and-shove that goes on after 50% of NFL plays now?, while Clark flagged for hitting a guy with his shoulder pads? Seriously?

I think I’m even angrier about the noncalls on Jets DBs than the ridiculous personal foul calls against the Steelers. I’m slowly becoming a convert to the league-hates-the-Steelers conspiracy theory.

That hold on Sanders was pretty ridiculous. The Steelers had that play. Great route, great playcall, great throw by Ben, but because Sanders was held, the ball was just inches away from his hands.

I’m kind of pissed about this game. The Steelers ST played like complete crap while the Jets made just enough plays on offense to keep drives moving.

This was probably the best game by the OL in a long time. Besides the complete whiff of a block when the Steelers were backed up.

      agree with everything you said.

the no-calls today were horrible. we should’ve got the ball on the 1 in the last few seconds, that hold on sanders was too obvious to miss.

its alright though, we’re still gonna get that 2 seed. hopefully we can get everyone healthy!

The good thing is, if they win the last two games they will still be #2 seed. If the Ravens lose one of the next two, all Pittsburgh has to do is beat Carolina and they are #2.

All I have to say is B.A. Lost that game with putting MeMo in on our own goal line. Rashard is stronger, bigger, and more talented.
    Fire B.A.
