    Had the term “defenseless receiver” ever crossed anyone’s lips in 1979?

    The steelers need to lock up a 1st-round bye before the last game for a variety of reasons.

    One of those reasons is so that they can simply refuse to play. Don’t show up, tell your fans not to show up. Steelers fans won’t be slighted if they can’t watch an important game, and won’t feel bad for not supporting their team since the team won’t be playing and the game doesn’t matter.

    You want to make people listen? You hit the only thing they care about. The NFL is trying it on James Harrison, it would be great to see how the owners like it.
