If the Pens Need an Enforcer, James Harrison Offers His Services

The best show on TV right now is 24/7 Penguins/Capitals, which is worth watching even if you are not a hockey fan.

But this week’s episode, which premiered Wednesday night on HBO and will be shown numerous times on HBO channels over the next week, included brief behind-the-scenes footage of the Steelers at Heinz Field, as well as interviews with linebackers James Farrior and James Harrison.

(I haven’t seen any YouTube videos of Harrison’s remarks, so here’s the official “enforcers” clip from HBO.com. If you happen to come across the former, leave a note in the comments and we’ll add it here.

EDIT: via Bob Costas’ comment, you can see the last episode on the Tubes, by way of the Pens Blog)

Farrior simply offered his support to the hometown Pens in the upcoming Winter Classic at Heinz Field. Harrison, though, offers more. He points out that he can’t skate well, but that he is available for the NHL fights. It is a funny, brief interview and Harrison – as usual – does not smile.

If you want to just watch the Steeler part, set your DVR and fast-forward to 45 minutes into the show. But the entire episode and series thus far has been quality viewing.

I don’t suppose this 24/7 thing is available online.

You can get the first episode free on itunes, but it is censored.

    Loving the HBO 24/7 special.

My brother (captain and pilot in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard) is coordinating the KC-135 flyover from rinkside at the Winter Classic on Saturday. They’re practicing that at Heinz this afternoon. Hopeful but questionable that the game will face off on Saturday though.

I’ve been monitoring YouTube all day and nobody has posted the interview yet which, frankly, is really hard to believe. It was probably a 20-second clip but still pretty funny.
