OK, Myron..(RIP) got my tawl out..ready for action…

  • Randy Steele

A little nervous but confident, I got out my Super Bowl towel for this one.

  • Dean Keaton

Hey fellas (and ladies) – checking in from Maui, and headed to the local Steelers bar. GAME ON!

  • Jason F

Does a huge pass interference penalty count as a 20+ yard play? Because if it does, we have our first big play.

    • Jason F

I count 3 lucky breaks on that first drive. No penalty on Kemo, Ray Lewis misses a tackle by seemingly not accounting for another gap, and Ben’s nose is in the same amount of pieces as when he started the drive.

      • Jason F

Ok, over at post game heroes I said in some comments that I was worried about special teams in this game. Wish I’d been wrong! Tied up with 5 minutes left… this is all up to Ben. I like those odds.

21-7, not good. Why didn’t Foster jump on that ball?

I don’t know if the OL is up for this.

  • Randy Steele

I am truly amazed that the Ravens simply could not handle the pressure.

    Randy,

Joe Flacco — from 4:30 till 8:00 — looked like he wanted to be anywhere else. Recap’s acoming’

    • Randy Steele

Joe Flacco embraces his inner Barney Fife.

  • ecks

agreed. flacco did not look confident after his INT to clark. also, I hate to be negative here, but Arians and Cameron aren’t great at calling plays with the lead.

Ryan Clark was amazing this game. Also, the offensive line played great considering they were on their 6th(?) tackle?

Not that anybody here was confused about this but Roethlisberger>>>>>Flacco. Great game by Sanders and Brown. Sad to see Hines falling down the depth chart but he comes through in the clutch time and again in the playoffs.

Also, great job by LeBeau and the d-backs shutting down Boldin and Mason. Superlative performance. I really enjoyed the result of their final 4th down play as a card carrying member of the Houshmanzadeh-is-a-D-bag club.

My wife went to bed early and I got the TV for the entire game. WOW. Memorable.

Antonio Brown is what Limas Sweed could have been. I mean, so is Sanders, but that catch is exactly what Limas couldn’t make.

    • Randy Steele

      Limas who?

  • Dean Keaton

Wow. Can’t believe we won that game, it was ugly play at times by both teams (turnovers) and by the refs most of the game. I rarely slam the refs once given the time to think it over, but there were a good number of calls/non-calls that were really bad. I still have no idea where the defensive holding was by the Ravens at the goal line.

    • Randy Steele

My guess? If that defensive hold by the Ravens had been happening repeatedly, it wouldn’t have been called.

      • Randy Steele

Let me try that again: If the defensive hold by the Ravens HADN’T been happening repeatedly, it wouldn’t have been called. Sorry.

pouncey was trying to slide around and terrence cody held him back

Best Steelers comeback win ever. I’m at the Bettis Grill if anyone wants to celebrate.

    • Randy Steele

I’m climbing in my car right now to meet you, Easy, but don’t order me anything yet. I’m in Connecticut so it might be a while.

      • Jason F

Me too, but TN is a long way.

Epic win…ranks up there as one of our best postseason wins ever.

Was it just me, but was Ngata playing today? He’s a beast, but I think our OL shut him down today.

The sack by Timmons and Hood at the end of the game was awesome. That may be the future of our defense right there in those two players. Ziggy really stepped up today.

How much must the Ravens and their fans hate seeing Hines score a TD against them?

Loved that Mendenhall got the game winning TD with a great effort given how Ray Ray broke his shoulder a couple years ago.

All those years where Santonio had the Ravens number……now its an “Antonio”.

How fitting when that jerk Houzmanzadeh dropped that last ball. Loved it.

For all that talk about Flacco being so great on the road in the playoffs…don’t they wish he was good enough to you know…win their divsion once so they don’t have to go on the road? Ravens only have finished twice (2003 and 2006) in their 15 year history. We’ve finished first three times in the last four years.

    Ryan Clark was incredible today.

Special thanks to my Dad for helping me be a Steeler fans all those years ago….

I’m surprised more people didn’t talk about it, but Carroll County Times beat reporter Aaron Wilson said on Thursday that Ngata had a thigh injury and was limping around the locker room. He said Ngata wouldn’t be 100 percent and he was right.
