What, You Thought an Earthquake Would Stop the Steelers?

Hey, did you guys hear about the earthquake on Tuesday? Did you feel it? Did it render you completely useless for the following two hours like I was? Not if you’re the Pittsburgh Steelers.

That’s why they’re champions, I guess. Nothing gets in the way.

Meanwhile, I spent two hours calling, texting, tweeting, facebooking, myspacing and using prodigy to inform everybody I know that I felt my couch move and some dishes bang for 15 seconds.

But seriously, we’re glad that nobody was hurt and damage appears to be minimal.

It was definitely a weird feeling. Not sure how you California people do it.

    I’m sure all the west coasters are laughing at us hyperventalating over a 5.8 yesterday.  On a related note the local news where I am interviewed nnamdi asomugha who said it felt like home.  Thought that was funny.

    We are kind of laughing, yes.

    I grew up in PA and moved to CA about 10 years ago.  I’ve felt a number of earthquakes and I can say I’ve gotten used to them.  Only one has lasted long enough for me to actually get scared.  Sadly, I did not actually do anything like run outside or hide under a table.  I just stood there feeling scared.  I have to admit that the worry about the big one happening any moment does kind of weigh in the back of my mind.  But, in general, it beats the heck out of shoveling snow.  I don’t remember how I ever put up with that crap.
