The Steelers are down to 53, and while the faces may change in the coming days and weeks, the number will stay the same until next offseason.

Because this is a podcast about the Steelers (and for this episode Star Wars — you’ll have to listen), we talk about it.

JJ also explains why Tony Hills’ pink slip makes sense, we all high-five each other over Weslye Saunders making the team, and discuss how Crezdon Butler was a victim of too many young cornerbacks and not enough roster spots.

We also answer reader mail, and because we’re a fully interactive outfit, take a spin around the rest of the AFC North. The conclusion: the Ravens’ o-line might be in worse shape than the Steelers’ (and they have zero depth at wide receiver and cornerback); the Browns have Colt McCoy, Peyton Hillis and, well, that’s it; and the Bengals are who we thought they were.

    The other point about the Ravens offensive line – they spent a lot of resources drafting all of those guys.  So their return on their investment is very poor.  In contrast, our line also stinks but we have great young receivers and colbert has been re-stocking our defense for the future.

    I respect the Ravens but guys like Don Banks and John Clayton are perennially on their bandwagon. “THIS IS THE YEAR THE RAVENS BEST THE STEELERS!” Reason being? They are due. LOL..its hilarious.

    I have a few doubts about the Steelers but if they avoid too many major injuries, they are the clear favourite to win this division. Not easily but I am not sweating the idea that we are going to get steamrollered by this particular Ravens team.
