Mike Tomlin is on Twitter

The big news out of Latrobe on Friday as the Steelers start to trickle in for the start of training camp is that head coach Mike Tomlin is now on Twitter. That’s right, you, the fan, now have the ability to do your arm-chair coaching right to his (virtual) face.

Personally, I can’t wait to read his mentions in the hours after the Steelers’ first loss this season.

Here is his social media debut:

Looking forward to see how many Tomlin-isms he drops in there this season.

In other news, the Steelers’ Facebook page is pumped to see Matt Spaeth back. They might be the only ones…

I don’t think Tomlin is going to enjoy Twitter..it is full of idiots on the sports side of things, IMO and many of them are players..lol. Just another place you can be misinterpreted or taken out of context which provides fodder for the STeven A. Smith’s of the world ..and round and round we go.

    Just straight fire… that’s good stuff…

He’s following 70 people and almost all are on the Steelers roster. Maybe he just wants to make sure they don’t say anything too crazy.

I’m a sucker for such stories. Still, I believe Bell has a chance to do great things if the O-line comes together fast (which is not a given, considering the wholesale changes). He’s a lot more versatile than I realized and pretty fast for a guy his size. JJ …I’m not sure he’s going to start right away just because rookies generally don’t in Lebeau’s scheme. But Worilds has never struck me as an heir to Harrison, so JJ has a chance, I guess. Speed kills..if Woodley has the bounce back year many expect (he’s got to be pissed about alll the yapping about him being out of shape etc.) Jones could benefit from that.

To me, it’s all about the lines. If they are improved, we’ll be back to contending. There’s talent on this team.
